Summary: Resolve issues when an event indicates that the endpoint on a server in an Office Web Apps Server farm isn't responding to a file information request.

This System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Management Pack knowledge article (KA) provides solutions for the problem that occurs when the endpoint on a server that hosts a file that was specified in an initiating request doesn't respond to a file information request.

Event Name: Host End Point Is Unreachable

Event ID: 8115

Symptom: The host server did not communicate with the client computer. Therefore, the endpoint on the host server did not respond to a file information request from the client computer.

Causes: One or more of the following might be the cause:

  • The host isn't operating.

  • The network isn't configured correctly.

  • The host hardware is bad.

Resolution: One or more of the following actions will resolve the issue:

  • Make sure that all computers on the farm have network connectivity.

  • Make sure that the network is configured correctly.

  • Investigate potential host hardware issues.
