Map Color Scale Properties Dialog Box, General

Select General on the Map Color Scale Properties dialog box to control the placement and format of the color scale.

Use a color scale to help a user understand how to interpret data intervals on a map layer that uses color to visualize analytical data. As an alternative, you can use a map legend to display the same information. For more information, see How to: Change Map Legends, Color Scale, and Associated Rules (Report Builder 3.0 and SSRS).

Click the Expression (fx) button to edit an expression that sets the value of the option.

Options

  • Position
    Specify the location of the color scale in relation to the center of the viewport.

  • Show color scale outside the viewport
    Select this option to display the color scale outside the viewport.

  • Border color
    Specify the color for the border of the color scale.
