Derived financial hierarchies (form) (Public sector)

Click General ledger > Setup > Financial dimensions > Derived financial hierarchies.

Click General ledger > Setup > Financial dimensions > Financial dimensions. Then click Set up hierarchies.

After you set up one or more derived financial hierarchies, you can use this form to define and work with the filters associated with nodes of a derived financial hierarchy. After you define and activate the filters, you can view the account numbers that were used for posted transactions and that meet the rules of the filters.

This form is available only if the Public Sector configuration key is selected.

Description

Edit filter

Add or modify the filter rules for the selected node in the hierarchy.

Delete filter

Delete the filter for the selected node in the hierarchy.

Activate filter

Save changes and activate the current filter.

View filter results

Open the Filter results form for the selected node in the hierarchy, and view the account numbers that meet the rules of the filter and that have been used for posted transactions.

Update filter results for all hierarchies

Open a form where you can update the filter results for all derived financial hierarchies associated with the legal entity. Click Batch to specify batch options.

Field

Description

Derived financial hierarchy

Select the derived financial hierarchy to use for the setup. The node elements are displayed in the hierarchy pane.

Node name

The node that you select in the hierarchy pane that the filter is for.

Apply this filter when

The area where you define the rules for the filter using Where expressions.

Add filter

Select Edit filter and then click Add filter to create a filter rule for the selected node. Click the red X to delete a filter rule.
