Configuring Email Profiles in Configuration Manager

Updated: May 14, 2015

Applies To: System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP2, System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1

Before you can use email profiles in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, you must perform the following configuration step.

Enable the Email Profiles Extension for Microsoft Intune

  • Ensure that the email profiles extension for Microsoft Intune is enabled in the Configuration Manager console. For information about how to identify, enable, upgrade and disable Intune extensions, see Planning to Use Extensions in Configuration Manager.

Important

If you want to disable the email profiles extension, you must first remove all email profiles from the Configuration Manager console. Additionally, when you disable the email profiles extension, the email profile settings remain on any device to which the email profile was deployed, until the device is retired, or wiped. For detailed information about disabling extensions for Microsoft Intune, see the How to Disable Extensions section in the Planning to Use Extensions in Configuration Manager topic.
