Moving from Public Beta version to retail version

Moving from the Public Beta version of Client Security to the retail version requires the following steps:

  1. Remove the existing installation of Client Security from your servers. Because an automatic upgrade from the Public Beta version to the retail version is not supported, you must uninstall Client Security from the servers. To do so, see Removing an existing installation of Client Security.

  2. Install and configure the retail version of Client Security on the servers. To do so, follow the standard steps covered in this guide.

  3. Deploy Client Security to the client computers. The new version of the client components for Client Security will be automatically installed over the Public Beta version. To deploy Client Security, follow the standard steps covered in this guide.

Important

Automated upgrades from the Public Beta version to the retail version are not supported. To move from Public Beta to retail, you must uninstall Client Security from all of the servers. You cannot move Client Security data from the Public Beta version to the retail version.
