Using This Guide

This guide is intended to be used as a part of Microsoft® Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) 2007 for Windows Vista™ and the 2007 Microsoft Office system. It is designed to guide the Deployment feature team through BDD 2007 customization.

To use this guide

  1. Review the list of topics under “Contents” (on page iii of this guide).

  2. Review the CustomSettings.ini samples in the Deployment Configuration Samples Guide.

  3. Determine the properties in CustomSettings.ini that are required for your environment and deployment method (Zero Touch Installation [ZTI]), Lite Touch Installation [LTI], or both).

  4. Modify the CustomSettings.ini files used in your environment and selected deployment methods (ZTI, LTI, or both).

  5. Update the deployment images used in your environment and selected deployment methods (ZTI, LTI, or both).

Because this guide contains only guidance on customizing the configuration settings in your deployment process, the guides in Table 1 can further assist you in customizing your configuration for your environment.
