RMS Service Publication and Discovery

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

Service requests (such as the service requests for either a use or publishing license, or sub-enrollment of a licensing-only cluster), start with a URL that points to an executable module for the service that is granting the request. The URL for each service must be published so that it can be discovered by clients and other services that need to use it. The topics that are in this section describe how the URLs for the different services are published, and how the RMS services and the RMS client discover them.
