Perform a Stand-Alone Installation

In a stand-alone installation of UDDI Services, both the UDDI Services Database and UDDI Services Web Application components are installed on a single server running Windows Server 2008 Standard. You first install the UDDI Services Database into an existing SQL Server database instance or the Windows Internal Database, and you then connect the UDDI Services Web Application to that instance. In a stand-alone installation of UDDI Services, the Windows Internal Database is the default database, unless SQL Server has been installed.

If Internet Information Services (IIS) is not already installed on the server, you are prompted to install it during the installation of UDDI Services.

Important

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption is selected by default, and it requires a server certificate. For more information see Configure UDDI Services Security.

Note

If you want to use SQL Server to host the database, you must install it before you install the UDDI Services Database.
