Planning for Fault Tolerance

Organizations are increasingly finding that any downtime that results in mission-critical data being unavailable is unacceptable. Windows Server 2003 offers several solutions to increase the availability of data. Solutions that use RAID and clustering technologies are especially suited to providing fault-tolerant storage. The process for analyzing and selecting among these solutions is illustrated in Figure 1.9.
