Most of the procedures in this guide instruct you to use Group Policy settings for Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.

To open a GPO to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

  1. On a computer that has the Group Policy Management feature installed, click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Group Policy Management.

  2. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.

  3. In the navigation pane, expand Forest: YourForestName, expand Domains, expand YourDomainName, expand Group Policy Objects, right-click the GPO you want to modify, and then click Edit.

  4. In the navigation pane of the Group Policy Management Editor, expand Computer Configuration, expand Policies, expand Windows Settings, expand Security Settings, expand Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, and then expand Windows Firewall with Advanced Security - LDAP://cn={GUID},cn=….
