Setting Up Reporting in VMM

Applies To: Virtual Machine Manager 2008, Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2, Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 SP1

Before you can view and use reports in Microsoft® System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 or System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2, you must configure Operations Manager integration with VMM, which includes deploying the VMM Management Pack. If you are setting up reporting for VMM 2008, you must also import an additional management pack that installs virtualization reports. VMM reports are generated by Operations Manager, but they can be opened in Reporting view of the Virtual Machine Manager Administrator Console.

Note

Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) 2008 requires System Center Operations Manager 2007 SP1. VMM 2008 R2 requires either Operations Manager 2007 SP1 or System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.
