Upgrading your Client Security installation from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008

This topic describes issues you might encounter when upgrading Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 on your Client Security server.

Error in Client Security report

After upgrading to Windows Server 2008, opening a report for Client Security might result in a 403.1 error. Error message when configuring the report server

After upgrading to Windows Server 2008, while configuring the report server, you might encounter the error "You have attempted to run a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow executables to run."

To resolve this issue do the following.

  1. On the Start menu, click Run.

  2. On the Run dialog box, type inetmgr, and then click OK.

  3. In Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, expand Web Sites, expand Default Web Site, and then click the virtual directory for the report server.

  4. Under Features view, double-click Handler Mappings.

  5. Under Actions, click Edit Handler Permissions.

  6. Select the Scripts check box, and then click OK.
