Explanation

This Error event indicates that all domain controllers in the Active Directory topology are either not working not reachable. This event may occur under the following conditions:

  • Network issues have caused all domain controllers to become unreachable.
  • All domain controllers in the Active Directory topology are not working.
  • Manage Auditing and Security Log right (SeSecurityPrivilege) was removed for the Exchange Enterprise Servers security group or for the Exchange Servers security group on some or all of the domain controllers.

User Action

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  • Review MSExchangeADAccess Event 2150 for a list of domain controllers, global catalog servers, and configuration domain controllers tat are available in the Active Directory topology.
  • Make sure that Exchange Enterprise Servers and Exchange Servers security groups are added to Manage Auditing and to Security Log under Default Domain Controller Security Settings. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. In the Default Domain Controller Security Settings snap-in, expand Local Policies under Security Settings, and then click User Rights Assignment.
In the right pane, right-click Manage Auditing and Security Log, and then click Properties.
    2. Make sure that the Define these policy settings check box is selected and that Exchange Enterprise Servers and Exchange Servers are listed beneath the check box.
