What do the different status messages mean?

Microsoft account for organizations status messages can help you identify the state of your services and subscriptions. The following are common account for organizations status messages and their definitions:

  • Active – This is the default state for any service when the subscription is up to date and active.

  • Expired – A service becomes expired once the subscription term has expired or the usage has been exceeded. . Some services may offer grace periods that allow continued access for a brief period of time prior to removing the service. For more information about what happens when your services expire, see your service agreements or subscription details.

  • Deprovisioned – Services that have been expired for a set period of time will be deprovisioned. Deprovisioning removes all data and account information associated with that service. Microsoft account for organizations will list a deprovisioned service for 90 days before removing that service from your list of services. Deprovisioned services cannot be renewed and require a new sign-up for further use.

  • Purchase Incomplete – Volume license orders that have been rejected for any reason will be placed into a purchase incomplete state. If a service that you have ordered displays a purchase incomplete status, please try to place the order again or contact your partner of record to assist you with placing your order.
