Back Up Commerce Server 2002 Starter Site Code and Data

Before you start the migration, you must back up both the code and data from your existing Commerce Server 2002 Starter Site.

To back up Commerce Server 2002 Starter Site code and data

  1. Using Windows Explorer, manually copy all files and subdirectories in the following locations to an alternate location:

    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CatalogWebService

    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CS2002StarterSite

    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CS2002StarterSiteBizDesk

    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MarketingWebService

  2. Using SQL Enterprise Manager, make backups of the following databases and copy them to an alternate location:

    CS2002StarterSite_BDPermissions

    CS2002StarterSite_Campaigns

    CS2002StarterSite_DataWarehouse

    CS2002StarterSite_Marketing

    CS2002StarterSite_ProductCatalog

    CS2002StarterSite_Profiles

    CS2002StarterSite_TransactionConfig

    CS2002StarterSite_Transactions

    DirectMailer

    MSCS_Admin

    MSCS_CatalogScratch

  3. Using SQL Server Analysis Manager, make a backup of the CS2002StarterSite_dw analysis database and copy it to an alternate location. For more information, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=6869.
