The Upgrade to SQL Server Compact 3.5Database dialog box enables you to upgrade certain earlier versions of SQL Server Compact databases. These versions are:
Version 3.1: SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition (SQL Server Compact Edition).
Version 3.0: SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition (SQL Server Mobile).
Version 2.0 databases, that is, those created in SQL Server 2000 Windows CE Edition 2.0 (SQL Server CE), cannot be upgraded to SQL Server Compact 3.5 by using the using the Upgrade dialog box. To upgrade a version 2.0 database, you must use Upgrade.exe.
