This topic provides steps for changing a destination in a business data project. You change a destination to stage the business data to a different server, route, or local directory.

To change a destination in a business data project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name>, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Project Properties dialog box, on the Project tab, in the Destinations section, select the destination that you want to change, and then click Edit.

  5. In the Edit Project Destination Properties dialog box, change the location of where you want to stage the business data, and then click OK. All the destinations are disabled except for the destination that you specified when you created the destination.

For example, if you originally created a destination on the local server, you will be unable to change any of the destinations, such as Endpoint server or Route, except for the local server destination.

  6. In the Project Properties dialog box, click OK.
