How to Edit an Inventory Catalog

This topic describes how to edit an inventory catalog.

To edit an inventory catalog

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog Manager.

  2. In Catalog Manager, in the Views pane, click Inventory Catalogs.

  3. In the Catalog Name pane, select the catalog you want to edit.

  4. In the Task pane, click Edit Catalog Properties.

  5. In the <Catalog name> screen, on the Base Properties tab, do the following:

    Use this

    To do this

    Catalog Name

    View the name of the catalog.

    You cannot edit this box.

    Description

    Type a new description for the catalog.

    Date Created

    The date the catalog was created. You cannot edit this box.

    Last Modified

    View the date the catalog was last modified.

    You cannot edit this box.

  6. On the Custom Properties tab, do the following:

    Use this

    To do this

    Property Name

    View the custom property name.

    You cannot edit this box.

    Display Name

    View the custom display name.

    You cannot edit this box.

    Value

    View the custom value.

    You cannot edit this box.

  7. On the Product Catalogs tab, do the following:

    Use this

    To do this

    Product Catalogs

    Select the product catalog(s) to associate with this inventory catalog from the list.

    Add Catalog

    Click to open the Product Catalogs dialog box.

    Remove

    Click to remove the selected catalog.

    Remove All

    Click to remove all the selected catalogs.

  8. If you click Add catalogs, the Product Catalogs dialog box opens. Select the catalogs you want to add to this inventory catalog. You can Select All or Deselect All. When you select the catalog(s) you want to add to this inventory catalog, click OK.

  9. Click Save or Save and Close on the toolbar to save your edits.
