Sign In Default Page

The Sign In default page manages the authentication of shoppers who want to shop under their registered account. The Sign In default page provides the following functionality:

  • An e-mail and password field to let registered shoppers sign-in

  • Live ID feature access

  • Handles forgotten passwords

  • Can start the creation process for a new account

  • Lets a shopper return to shopping

Reason

ASP.NET Login

Handles the sign-in process.

Registration Invite

Contains text and a button to access the Create Account default page.

The ASP.NET Login control handles the following features:

  • Sign-in by providing e-mail and password text boxes, along with a "sign-in" button

  • Forgotten password by supplying a "Forgot your password?" link that redirects to the forgot password page

  • Shows system and general errors with "pop-in" instructional text

The Registration Invite control handles the following features:

  • Shows text inviting registration

  • Redirects to the Create Account default page through a "Create Account" button

  • Redirects to shopping through a "Continue Shopping" button

Web Parts

The Live ID feature is implemented on this page. Live ID lets shoppers associate their Windows Live IDs with their Commerce Server 2009 logins.
