You use the Marketing Manager to personalize the customer buying experience with targeted merchandising. You can determine the type of content that will be shown to the customer and when the content is delivered. You can create an ad campaign, a discount campaign, or a direct mail campaign, and then specify when the content will be delivered to a targeted group of customers.
To target ads or discounts to specific customers, you create expressions. For example, you can award preferred customers a ten-percent discount on the two most expensive items in their shopping basket. You can also specify how many times a particular discount is shown to a customer within a session.
