Using Secure Sockets Layer with Microsoft Passport

Microsoft Passport offers the Passport Express Purchase feature, which enables Passport users to store their credit card and address information with Passport, and then have that information made available to any Web site that employs the Passport Express Purchase.

If you are using Microsoft Passport, then you must also use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Passport requires SSL to transfer Wallet information to the site during checkout.

If you are setting up a development computer with the site, and you want to use the express checkout, you will need an SSL certificate. For information about setting up SSL, see the following two Web sites:
