Workflow for Affinity Lists

The following figure illustrates a sample scenario for viewing and managing affinity lists.

Affinity List workflow

  1. Your system administrator builds prediction models in Commerce Server Manager.
  2. In the Affinity Lists module in Commerce Server Business Desk, you select a prediction model on which to base your affinity list.
  3. You then name your affinity list, select the product SKU (or select one through the catalog browser), and select the minimal likelihood for a user to belong to that list.
  4. Export the affinity list, which contains user e-mail addresses, to the List Manager module in Business Desk.
  5. Use the Campaign Manager module to create a direct mail campaign from this list to target users who are likely to buy a specific product.
