Editing Order Status Codes

You can edit the names and descriptions of existing order status codes by using the Order Status Codes module. However, you cannot edit the actual number for a code.

Notes

• For instructions about changing the status code number for a specific order, see the topic Changing the Status of an Order.
• You cannot edit the actual code number in the Code box. If you want to change the code number, you must delete the order status code and add a new one with the required change in the Code box.
• After you edit an order status code, you must contact your system administrator to update your site with the new code.

To edit an order status code

1. In Orders, click Order Status Codes.
2. In the Order Status Codes screen, select the order status code you want to edit, and then click on the toolbar.
3. In the Order Status Codes - <order status code> screen, do the following:

   Use this	To do this
   Code Name	Type a new name for the order status code.
   Description	Type a new description for the order status code.

4. To save your edits and return to the Order Status Code screen, click on the toolbar.

The edited order status code is saved.
