Commerce Server .NET Application Framework

The Commerce Server .NET Application Framework brings the Microsoft .NET Framework developer experience to Commerce Server. It allows developers to create Commerce Server applications using the new features of the .NET Framework. Two of the new features are the Base Class Library and Common Language Runtime Interop Layer. These additions allow ASP.NET code to run core COM-based Commerce Server services and systems.

This section discusses the programmatic components of the Commerce Server .NET Framework, and also discusses Commerce Server features and tools available in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET environment that simplify and expedite the creation of .NET-based Commerce Server applications.
