Culture information goes beyond language. It includes national or even regional distinctions. For example, there is a different culture code for France-French, Canadian-English, Canadian-French, and U.S.-English.

The following elements are supported by the .NET CultureInfo class. These elements are supported in the International Retail Site:

  • Numbers
  • Currency (which are numbers with a currency symbol)
  • Time
  • Dates
  • Strings
