Login Failed for User error appears when unpacking Data Warehouse

When you are unpacking the Data Warehouse in custom mode using Commerce Server Site Packager, the following error message appears: "Login Failed for User <user name>." When you click OK, the Data Warehouse Properties dialog box appears.

Solution

To continue unpacking

  • In the Data Warehouse Properties dialog box, in the Password box, delete the asterisks (**), type your password, and then click OK.

    If you do not want to set a password, leave the box blank.

Commerce Server Site Packager finishes unpacking the site.
