Multicurrency Features
The International Retail site exposes a currency conversion feature which allows the user to view product prices expressed in different currencies. This feature uses configurable exchange rates relative to the site's base currency.
The catalog used in the International Solution Site contains price information in a single currency. If more catalogs are added, all catalogs on the site must use the same base currency.
If the user has chosen a display currency that is different from the base currency for the catalog, the International Retail Site can display an approximate price in the display currency of the user, which is calculated from a simple conversion rate configured on the site. Calculating an accurate conversion involves more complicated calculations, access to current rate information, and rules that often vary for specific conversions. This is outside the scope of this sample site.
