Access Data Sources Across Domains for the Tutorial

On your Business Desk client computer, perform the following step if there are data sources, such as a SQL Server, on a domain other than the domain you are logged on to. If you do not know this information, contact your system administrator.

To access data sources across domains

  1. On the computer or server hosting the Business Desk client, in Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Options dialog box, on the Security tab, click Custom Level.
  3. In the Security Settings dialog box, do the following:
    Use this To do this
    Miscellaneous>Access data sources across domains Select Enable.
    Navigate sub-frames across different domains Select Enable.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the Confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
  6. In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.
  7. Close the browser window.

Your computer can now access data sources across domains.
