The International Retail Site provides full-text search, allowing users to search for products based on actual text data rather than using the catalog. The advanced search option allows users more control of a full-text search. Users can search with multiple terms using the logical AND and OR operators, and they can control which catalogs are searched.

By default, search works against the current catalog set. Only the catalogs that are in the user's catalog set are searched. For anonymous users, only the catalogs in the anonymous user catalog set are searched.

The Search Control and the AdvancedSearch control are used to provide this functionality.
