Configuring the Web Tier
This section describes how to configure the Web tier for a typical deployment. This topic assumes that you have already installed the base platform, configured the network, and set up the two domains. Verify that your Web servers are the computers you will use to host your Web sites and the Commerce Server run-time components. To separate the business logic tier from the database tier, your Web servers should not contain any of your databases.
