Lesson 1: Creating a Catalog Definition
Scenario: You want to create a base catalog for each of your product groups, so that you can publish their products on your site. The first step in creating catalogs is creating a catalog definition. A catalog definition is comprised of one or more category and product definitions. Category and product definitions are comprised of property definitions.
In step 1 of this lesson, you create category definitions called pens and pencils. The category definitions are used to organize products on your Web site. In steps 2 and 3 of this lesson, you will create product and property definitions, which you will use in Lab 3 when adding products to your catalogs.
Each of the steps listed below is a prerequisite for the subsequent step. It is important to complete each step in the order listed:
