Product Catalog Compatibility

The International Retail Site was designed to use catalogs with a structure similar to the sample catalog.

Required Columns

The following columns must be present in any catalog on the site:

  • Description
  • Image_filename
  • Name

A value is required for the Name column to access the Product details page for that product. The Description and Image_filename columns can be empty.

Paging is not implemented on the site. If your catalog has a large number of root-level products, the aspnet_wp process will time out and the site will not respond. Your catalog should contain products within categories, and no single category should contain a large number of products.
