Copying a Direct Mail Campaign Item

You can copy an existing direct mail campaign item that has already been created to quickly add additional direct mail items for a customer and its campaign. Using the existing direct mail item as a template, you can change the properties of the existing direct mail campaign to meet the goals of the new direct mail campaign.

To copy a direct mail campaign item

  1. In Campaigns, click Campaign Manager.

  2. In the Campaign Manager screen, select the direct mail campaign you want to copy, and then click Copy on the toolbar.

  3. In the Copy Direct Mail item dialog box, do the following:

    Use this To do this
    Select a customer Select the customer from the drop-down list from which you want to copy the direct mail item.
    Select a campaign Select the campaign from the drop-down list from which you want to copy the direct mail item.
  4. Click OK.

  5. In the Campaign Manager <Customer> <Campaign> New (direct mail) screen, in the Direct Mail Properties section, do the following:

    Use this To do this
    Direct mail name Type a name for the new direct mail item.
  6. Edit the remaining properties as necessary.

  7. To save the direct mail item and return to the Campaign Manager screen, click Save and go back on the toolbar.

The new direct mail item appears in the Campaign Manager tree under the selected customer and campaign.
