Workflow for Creating a Base Catalog

The following figure illustrates a sample scenario for creating a base catalog. It shows how you can create a catalog by importing an Extensible Markup Language (XML) catalog file or a comma-separated values (CSV) catalog file, or by creating a catalog definition. It shows how, after you create your catalog definition, you can then add a category, add a product, and add product variants to the product. After you create one or more catalogs, you can create a catalog set. And finally, after you make changes to your catalog, you can publish the catalog to your Web site.
