  • When you export a virtual catalog, it becomes a base catalog. For example, you can export a virtual catalog, and then import it as a base catalog.
  • If you export a catalog in CSV file format, you can export the catalog in only one language.
  • When you export a virtual catalog, the price rules are not exported.

To export a catalog in CSV file format

  1. In Catalogs, click Catalog Editor.

  2. In the Catalogs screen, select the catalog you want to export, and then click Export on the toolbar.

  3. Select Export CSV from the drop-down list.

  4. In the ExportCatalog dialog box, in the Start date box, type the date for which you want to start the incremental export.

  5. In the Language box, specify the language in which to export multilingual properties. For example, if the property Description contains values in both English and Chinese, you can export the catalog only in English, only in Chinese, or in both languages.

  6. In the Specify the location to save the file on the server box, type the complete path and file name of a catalog that can be written to by the server, and then click OK.

When specifying a file on the server side, if you specify only the file name, the file will be exported to the ProductCatalogs folder under the BizDesk folder on the server. For example, exporting a file as output.xml will export it on the server as d:\inetpub\wwwroot\retailbizdesk\productcatalogs\output.xml. You can set up this folder as a share.

The catalog is exported to the specified location.
