Sending a Catalog to a Trading Partner

If both your company and your trading partners use Microsoft BizTalk Server, you can trade catalogs, orders, documents, and other electronic forms with each other. BizTalk Server acts as a gateway for sending business documents between your company and your trading partners (also known as vendors). For example, vendors can send you their catalogs, and you can post their catalogs on your Web site with your own catalog. And, when users place orders on your Web site, the orders are sent directly to the vendor for fulfillment.

Each of your trading partners can send you one or more catalogs of their products. You can aggregate catalogs from vendors into a virtual catalog, which appears as one catalog to users visiting your site.

Trading partners are set up using BizTalk Messaging Manager; they must be set up before you can send them a catalog. For information about setting up your site to send catalogs to trading partners, contact your system administrator.
