Step 1: Create a Campaign Expression

In this step, you will create campaign expressions, which are simple phrases that define specific user groups or product groups.

You will create a target expression for female construction workers.

  1. Start the NorthwindTraders Business Desk.
  2. In Campaigns, click Campaign Expressions.
  3. In the Campaign Expressions:Target Expressions screen, click New on the toolbar.
  4. In the Target Expression dialog box, do the following:
    Use this To do this
    Name Type Female.
    Description Type Female User.
    Target based on the following conditions: Click New.
    • First box. Select User Object from the drop-down list, and then select Gender under General Information.
    • Second box. Select is equal to as an operator from the drop-down list.
    • Third box. Click the ellipsis [...] button.
      In the Choose a Site Tem dialog box, select Female from the list, and then click OK.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. The new target expression is added to the Target based on the following conditions box.
  7. To save the target expression and return to the Campaign Expressions: Target Expressions screen, click Save on the toolbar.
