Localizing Your Commerce Server Site Using SharePoint 2010 Site Variations

The SharePoint 2010 site variations feature lets you create localized versions of the Solution Storefront site packaged with Commerce Server 2009 R2.

Prerequisites

Make sure that you meet the following prerequisites before performing the procedures in this document:

• You are familiar with the concepts of site variations with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. See SharePoint 2010 documentation for information about the site variations feature.

• The required language pack for each server in your Commerce Server deployment is installed.

• The required SharePoint 2010 language packs for each target languages are installed. See SharePoint 2010 documentation for instructions about how to install the SharePoint 2010 language packs.

• Some of the procedures in this document use the Data View feature available in SharePoint Designer. Make sure to have Microsoft Office installed on the client computer from which you run your browser.
