How to: View Event Logs for Integration Services Service Using the Event Viewer

This procedure describes how to locate and view event logs for the Integration Services Service.

SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS) also provides logging for the run-time events raised by packages and the event handlers and executables they contain. For more information, see Integration Services Log Providers and Implementing Logging in Packages.

To view event logs for Integration Services

In Control Panel, if you are using Classic View, click Administrative Tools, or, if you are using Category View, click Performance and Maintenance and then click Administrative Tools.
Click Event Viewer.
In the Event Viewer dialog box, click Application.
In the Application snap-in, locate an entry in the Source column that has the value SQLISService, right-click the entry, and then click Properties.
Optionally, click the up or down arrow to show the previous or next event.
Optionally, click the Copy to Clipboard icon to copy the event information.
Choose to display event data using bytes or words.
Click OK.
On the File menu, click Exit to close the Event Viewer dialog box.
