How to: Add, Move, or Delete a Text Box (Report Designer)

To add a text box

  1. In Layout view, in the Toolbox, click Textbox.

  2. On the design surface, drag a box to the size you want the text box to be. Alternatively, click the design surface to create a text box of fixed size.

To move a text box

  1. In Layout view, click any empty space within the text box to select the text box.

  2. Point to the shaded border of the text box and drag the text box to a new location.

To delete a text box

  1. In the Layout view, right-click any empty space within the text box, and then click Delete. Alternatively, click any empty space within the text box, and then press DELETE.
