Creating an Analysis Services Project (Data Mining Tutorial)

Each Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS) project defines the schema for the objects in a single Analysis Services database. The Analysis Services database is defined by the mining models, OLAP cubes, and supplemental objects that it contains. For more information about Analysis Services projects, see Developing Analysis Services Solutions and Projects.

To create an Analysis Services project

  1. Open Business Intelligence Development Studio.

  2. On the File menu, point to New, and then select Project.

  3. Verify that Analysis Services Project is selected in the Templates pane.

  4. In the Name box, name the new project AdventureWorks.

  5. Click OK.
