How to: Check the Status of the Snapshot Agent (SQL Server Management Studio)

In this topic, you will learn how to examine the status of the snapshot agent in SQL Server 2005 or a later version. You use the Replication Monitor to examine the status of the Snapshot Agent and ensure that the snapshot has been created.

To examine the status of the Snapshot Agent with SQL Server 2005 or a later version

  1. On the computer that is running SQL Server 2005 or a later version, start SQL Server Management Studio: Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server, and then click SQL Server Management Studio.

  2. Right-click Replication, and then choose Launch Replication Monitor.

  3. In Replication Monitor, expand My Publishers, expand the server, and then select the publication.

  4. In the right pane, select the Agents tab to view the status of the Snapshot Agent.
