Resource Properties (General Page)

Use this page to view the properties of a resource. A resource is any non-report item that you upload from the file system to a report server database. Examples of resources that you may want to upload include image files, documents, or previously exported reports you have saved in file formats.

You can also use this page to view information about when the resource was created, modified, and how it is displayed.

Options

  • Name
    Specifies the name of the item, as it appears in Object Explorer and other viewing applications.
  • Description
    Shows a description of the resource. In SQL Server Management Studio, this description is only visible in this page. Users who view this item through Report Manager may see this description when browsing the folder hierarchy.
  • Hidden in list view
    Select this check box to hide the item when the folder is set in list view. List view is a mode for viewing folder contents that is supported in Report Manager. You can set this option in SQL Server Management Studio to define how this item is viewed in Report Manager. For more information about view modes in Report Manager, see Contents Page (Report Manager).
  • Date Created and Modified By
    Specifies a series of read-only values that indicate when the item was created, when it was last modified, and the name of the user who created or last modified it.
  • Size
    Specifies the size in kilobytes that this item consumes in the report server database.
  • MIME Type
    Specifies the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) type of the file.
