Biography:

After graduating in 1997 I started my career in Tech Support (in a mainframe environment), moving on to software development using Visual Basic, SQL Server and Active X/Radio Frequency (RF) Technology. My next role as a Consultant Developer for a CRM company was a welcome change and allowed me to gain a different perspective on what the client sees, involved a lot of project work, designing and coding again in VB, SQL but also Oracle and Crystal Reports. From then on I have been back in Tech Support as a Senior Engineer working with Windows and Database products including Sharepoint, eventually progressing to Team Leader of 10 engineers. In my current role I lead a team of 7 engineers supporting Monitoring products covering a vast amount of different hardware & software combinations from Windows to Solaris, Application Servers such as Weblogic/Websphere & Virtualisation.

Top 3 Challenges:

1. Time to spend on projects such as virtualization. 

2. Managing SLA’s and workload for me and my team.

3. Keeping the customer happy.

Tough one - is this a trick question?  I would say the incredible hulk - without the hulk bit :)
