Learn how Microsoft IT is delivering Data as a Service (DaaS) for the Enterprise Data Warehouse to various Microsoft businesses and IT groups. DaaS is being implemented as Data Services Layer (DSL) platform which abstracts and exposes data from on premise and SQL Azure (cloud). DSL is a data distribution platform that provides a single location for Microsoft users to explore, publish and consume EDW and other external data from multiple data sources. Data can be consumed by LOB applications, PowerPivot business users, database applications and Windows phone in various forms including scorecards, reports, SQL queries, web services and self service BI.
