MAP 5.5 demo: Deployment planning for Windows Server 2008 R2 and server consolidation assessment with Hyper-V

About This Video
In this overview demo, you’ll see how you can use the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit 5.5 to simplify your organization's migration to the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system. You'll also see how MAP 5.5 can help you consolidate servers with Hyper-V virtualization technology.

The demonstration focuses on a scenario in which an organization is migrating to the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system and also planning to consolidate multiple physical servers using Hyper-V virtualization, but needs help assessing their environment’s migration readiness.

The demo will illustrate how you can quickly, easily, and accurately use MAP 5.5 to perform a complete assessment of your organization's hardware readiness for Windows Server 2008 R2. MAP can help you answer important questions, such as: Which servers are capable of migrating to Windows Server 2008 R2? Which servers need to be upgraded, and what specific upgrade steps are required? Which servers can be consolidated with Hyper-V? What's the return on investment (ROI) for doing so?
