Session Outline

The main goal of User Account Control is to reduce the exposure and attack surface of the operating system by requiring that all users run in standard user mode and by limiting administrator-level access to authorized processes. In this session we will start out with exploring the User Account Control features and benefits. We will examine the implications of UAC for application developers. Then we will discuss the additional security components and finally we will cover the considerations for legacy applications.
