Session Outline

In this session, we will look at the new TCP/IP Stack in Windows Vista and Windows Server "Longhorn" in Windows Vista. The new stack includes a new set of performance enhancements to increase throughput in high-bandwidth, high-latency, and high-loss networking environments. We will look at the architecture of the new stack and the new features that are supported. This includes receive windows auto-tuning and advanced detection features. We will look at other improvements such as Network and Sharing Center, that provide easy access to many network tasks. We will discuss how to connect and manage network connections in Windows Vista, including wireless connections. On a security front, Windows Vista provides extra layers of security for your organization. We will also cover the integration of the improved Windows Firewall and IP Security.
