Session Outline
This session is the first of two parts looking at Windows Server 2008 R2. The session is aimed at someone coming from a Server 2008 background and focuses on the updates and changes. Part 1 will cover virtualization improvements for Hyper-V including Live Migration and Hot Addition and Removal of Storage. Next, we will explore the new Remote Desktop Services features and capabilities. Then, we will explore management improvements that make it easier for IT Professionals to administer Active Directory and Windows Server 2008 R2 systems. We will discuss Windows PowerShell new features and cmdlets included in Windows Server 2008 R2. Then, we will examine Power Management and Group Policy enhancements. Finally, we will explore Active Directory improvements for identity and access management and Active Directory administration.
