iSCSI Deployment

You can deploy iSCSI boot nodes on your HPC cluster. iSCSI boot nodes are compute nodes that boot the operating system over the network, by using an iSCSI connection. iSCSI boot nodes do not require a local hard disk drive to serve as a system disk, and instead use the storage resources on a network-attached storage array. By having iSCSI boot nodes, you can centralize the storage of your HPC cluster.
Important
To deploy nodes over iSCSI in a cluster that is running HPC Pack 2012, ensure that the cluster is updated with at least Service Pack 1.
